Action - 006
[...Well, this was a little unexpected. Kazuma finds himself standing at the center of the village plaza later on this evening, pretty much having the same pose as the icon, although in new feather garbs. He looks at his surroundings. There was something vaguely familiar about the village, and this pain behind his back...like a dream he once had long ago. Slowly it comes back to him.
He chuckles quietly upon realizing where he was. This was a joke, right? Oh, but of course Luceti was always good at causing interruptions for everyone wasn't it? He sighs, no point in questioning it. He should just go and find his clothes.
As he walks to the clothing store, he realized how quiet it was. Not that the village was quiet in the least, it's his head. It was almost unsettling how quiet it was in his head right now. Terumi would surely have a say or two right now but...nothing.]
[Kazuma can be found at the clothing store after his return wearing not his old clothes, but the uniform Hazama wore in the NOL. Odd. Yet Kazuma didn't find anything strange about it at all, like this was totally what he has always worn. What he found strange was that he couldn't find his journal. Didn't new feathers usually get them upon arrival?
He'll be checking the various stores, the item and weapon shops afterwards for his things before concluding his journal wasn't here. It couldn't still be at the old House was it? Ugh, he's not sure if he wanted a reunion, but the journal is kind of vital in this place. Maybe he can sneak into House 48 without anyone noticing. So he can be seen walking down the path towards House 48 from the plaza.
Once there, he'll be as quiet as possible getting in and getting out with his things...damn that front door sure makes an awful loud creaking sound and this house--this house stinks like cat. Ugh.]
[OOC: The Malnosso have messed around with Kazuma's head and a few other things, so this is who he believes to be right now. Though he doesn't share the headspace with Terumi in Luceti. This is lasting for a week.]
[Action]
He could have easily moved aside when he spotted her, said something, but no. He just lets her bump right on into him. A hand rests on her shoulder to keep her steady.]
Having some trouble looking where you're going?
[Action]
It's dark. Random hand darting out to catch her, but the voice is all-too familiar. She looks up, and...
...oh. Oh, she knows you.]
Hi, Kazuma. [...right? You are Kazuma.] I'll be fine... was just heading home!
[Action]
[Goodness, he hasn't been called that in a very, very long time. It takes him by surprise to hear it from Noel of all people. He could laugh almost. Kazuma, the name of that foolish child who was incapable of doing anything. Ah but this Noel...this Noel knew that child here didn't she?]
And just where were you coming from? [Does she really not realize who this was...? So hopeless.]
[Action]
Nami's birthday party. Didn't you see her message earlier? [She sways a bit, subsequently removing herself from Kazuma's hold.] I'm sure she would have been fine... inviting you.
[Action]
You look like you could use a little help getting home.
[Action]
Misplaced? Wha? You lost it? [Because this is the most LOGICAL conclusion she can muster, because this couldn't be anyone else but Kazuma. Oh, Kazuma, you are silly.] You... You should take better care of your things! Losing a journal means losing important communication! A-And why are you out so late, anyway? ...don't tell me you left it outside somewhere!
[Action]
I can't lose something I never had on me. I'm sure it's where I left it last, back at the house.
...And why can't I be outside at this hour?
[Action] 1/2
[...which is completely contradictory to what she's doing. UM.] So, uh... that's why I'm heading home now! [She begins to backpedal to make the point that it was time to go home. With potential bad guys out, she had to make an example for Kazuma and SHOW HIM. Of course, she's not watching where she's going and begins to walk off the dirt trail.]
[Action]
Because suddenly the ground got really bumpy and her balance has gone to utter shit.] Ah!
[Action] 1/2
[Action]
Oh my god, you're really hopeless sometimes, you know that? Go home, you say? Is your home in the dirt!? Hahahaha!
[He walks over to where she had fallen, still chuckling as he grabs her arm] You better get up now before you ruin your clothes.
[Action]
...what?
[So much so, that she doesn't resist when Kazu--- When whoever this is pulls her back to her feet.
Why is it always that laugh?]
[Action]
Are you all right....?
[Action]
It was that outburst alone that raised all the red flags, and once she could gather the bearings she'd lost there temporarily, she reacts the best way she can and stumbles stupidly away from his grasp and nearly falls again because she can't keep herself together. She may have had too much to drink, but it can't get more obvious than this, right? She's not going crazy, is she?
Please, not now. Not with everything else that's happened already. Say it isn't so, Kazuma!]
Who... Who are you?
[Action]
[He really should be honest with her, but this was too funny, watching her react]
[Action]
She can't contact Ragna.
And it's nighttime. Nowhere to go. When was the last time Noel had felt this helpless? When this happened before, she had some sort of semblance of bravery, but now it was crumbling before her very eyes.
All she can do is resist his advances by backing the hell away from his approach.
... Kazuma.]
Did you do something to Kazuma!?
[Action]
[And Kazuma is lessening the gap between them.]
[Action]
No. No, she's not alone. Whipping her arms forward, Bolverk is summoned. The only thing she has as a defense, and even then deep down she knows this guy could take her down in a fight with no problem.
Especially with her aim likely being awful in this state.]
D... Don't even think about it! Kazuma is my friend! I already know what happened, so you can't tell me you're him!
[Action]
I'm quite sure I can take you this time. So why don't put away those guns, hm? [Friends or not, there was this clear look of satisfaction on his face when he was confronted with his old fear. He wasn't frightened by those toys anymore.]
[Action]
But she won't let him get the first hit in.] No! Get away!
[And without warning, she shoots. Wildly. ...except as expected her aim is awful, the Armagus blasts explode feets away from him.]
[Action]
Man, fighting you right now would just be a waste of time. [he tilts his head to one side to avoid another stray bullet.] How much longer do you plan to do this?
[Action]
[Another shot, another miss. And when she realizes that Ouroboros had long been put away, Noel can't help but feel embarrassed. Because that totally was not an insult on her fighting prowess.
...but all the same, it's enough to make her stop, her arms still shaking even as they fall to her sides.
As long as...
...
Was... he not going to do anything?]
If you won't attack, then what do you want?
[Action]
[Suddenly, he seemed a lot less terrifying, especially the way he was pressing his hand against his fedora and looking puzzled.]
[Action] 1/2
[Action]
...
But whatever. Maybe it's stupid, but the girl relents and puts away Bolverk. The glare does stand, however.]
No. I don't need your help with... with anything!
