Voice-Action for House 48 - 005

[It's way late into the night, or way early into the morning, whichever works for you and Kazuma was out of bed and about in House 48. Another sleepless night, they've been getting so frequent. He settled himself in the kitchen, thinking he could make himself some tea, something to eat maybe. He plops both his journals onto the table, thinking he could just write long enough to fall asleep again.

Once he got himself a cup of tea, he seats himself at the table, pressing his hands against the sides of his head. Having these nightmares and hallucinations can leave you with a nasty headache. ]

[Voice]

Is...Is there anyone awake right now? [Please let there someone be awake to talk to, anyone to keep his sanity. He can still faintly hear those voices in the back of his head. A part of him almost wished Terumi was still here, but...they would tell him it's wrong.

"Oh, but I am still here. I'll always be here for you."] ...I just want someone to talk to.

[Someone that's actually there...An idea then pops into his head a few minutes later. Of course he could ask him now. Why didn't he think of him before? Although...he was hesitant about it as it was very late.]

Professor...I'm sorry to bother you at this hour, but I'm having difficulty sleeping...I'm hearing things again.

[It's rare to hear someone up this late at night, especially when said someone is asking to talk. Luke pauses for a moment, just to listen and see if there's anything else added on, or anyone else talking to him, before he sets aside his own diary to talk to the journal instead.]

Hey, I'm still awake. I know we don't know each other, but...

[voice]

[moezama]

Ah, I still appreciate having someone to speak to regardless.

[He can vaguely hear someone cackling and he turns to look and sees no one. A sigh.]

I've been having these headaches...and I think talking to someone might help.

[voice]

... I used to have a lot of headaches. [And also voices, but he won't be getting into that. No need to have the other person think he's crazy.] So what did you want to talk about?

[voice]

[moezama]

[If only they both knew] Do you know any good remedies for them? [Except he's sure nothing can be done for voices in your head syndrome]

And...anything really. I just need something to keep my mind off of things.

[voice]

[fabrecation]

Heh... Just hold your head and hope they go away? [Though more seriously:] Sometimes it'd help me if I had a friend to hold on to. You know, as long as they kept quiet. [Which Guy didn't. But somehow, it was okay. It just reminded him further that someone was there, even if it didn't help the pain in the least bit.

As for anything to talk about... hm. It's hard without having a subject to think of first.] Hmm...

[voice]

[moezama]

A friend...I don't really have many friends here. And I rather not wake up my housemates at this hour.

[He simply rests a hand on one side of his head] ...And the one person I did trust, isn't here anymore.

[voice]

[fabrecation]

Oh... [How to respond to that? If the people he considered his friends went away... Man.] ... I'm sorry. How... bad are the headaches? [Change the topic a little, that sounds like a plan.]

[voice]

[moezama]

Ah, it's...nothing to apologize for. It was probably best that he didn't stay here. [Nobody really liked him in this place anyway]

I get them every once in a while, and it hurts for a few days. Most days it doesn't hurt as much as now.

[voice]

[fabrecation]

Mine always felt like someone was stabbing me in the head or something. [Haa... he rubs his head just thinking about it.] I even passed out a few times because of them. Man, that was always embarrassing... [He lets out a puff of air before he looks at the journal again.] They've pretty much stopped now, though.

[voice]

[moezama]

That's...sounded really bad. I've never passed out from mine, but...it does feel like someone is hitting me in the head though.

[voice]

[fabrecation]

Those always suck... at least mine never lasted all that long.

Have you tried drinking tea or anything? That used to help sometimes... I've got some that helps you relax and stuff.

[voice]

[moezama]

I wish mine didn't...

Oh, what are they? Ms. Litchi has a few tea brands here, but...I don't know if she has what you have.

[voice]

[fabrecation]

I've got chamomile. It kind of relaxes you and gets your mind drifting off to other things.

There's some others I've got around here, but that's the one I try the most. Do you have that one? I can give you a few bags if you want.

[voice]

[moezama]

Mm...[Give him a moment to go and see if he has any. Luke can probably still hear him speaking in the background.]

Chamomile...chamomile... [The only help you need is me. Just you and I against the world!]

...[Why fight it, EMBRACE it! You know deep down that you want to...] No...just stop...stop talking. [That horrible laugh of Terumi's echoes through his head]

[voice]

Stop...?

Hey, keep talking to me, okay? Don't listen to that voice in your head! I know it's hard to listen to anything else, but try to focus on me!

[voice]

[moezama]

H-Huh? [Which voice was what? It felt like a bunch of spikes were hitting against his skull right now.]

I...[Please hold, he needs to press his head against the wall for a moment]

[voice]

[fabrecation]

It'll be okay... It'll be okay! Just hold on a minute and relax, all right? You'll be fine.

[voice]

[moezama]

[There was silence for a while, other than Kazuma's breathing which calms down after a bit. The voices became softer, but still mumbling somewhere in the back of his head. A minute later, there was a thud as Kazuma sits himself down at the table again, a pause]

....We don't have chamomile. [All he could say right now really.]

[voice]

[fabrecation]

...

I can bring you some if you'd like. I've got a lot already, so...

[voice]

[moezama]

I would appreciate it, but...it's kind of late right now.

[voice]

[fabrecation]

So? I'm still awake, I don't mind or anything.

[...] But if it's easier for you, I can come over tomorrow instead.

[voice]

[moezama]

...Well, if you don't mind. It's not like I'm going to be getting sleep anytime soon.

[There's a pause]

I'm at House 48...do you know where that is?

[voice]

[fabrecation]

Pretty much, yeah. I think I've walked around this village enough to know where anything is.

I'll be there soon, okay?

[And with that, he gets up to head to the kitchen and find some much needed tea.]

[Voice -> Action]

[moezama]

All right...

[He'll just...move himself into the living for the time being. What was he going to say if the guy asks him what happened?]

[Action]

[It takes Luke a few minutes to get there, seeing how the house is further away than he thought. But after that, he knocks on the door before he looks behind him, sword strapped to his back. Not that he's paranoid or anything, but walking around in the middle of the night is just dangerous to do anywhere.]
