Voice-Action for House 48 - 005

[It's way late into the night, or way early into the morning, whichever works for you and Kazuma was out of bed and about in House 48. Another sleepless night, they've been getting so frequent. He settled himself in the kitchen, thinking he could make himself some tea, something to eat maybe. He plops both his journals onto the table, thinking he could just write long enough to fall asleep again.

Once he got himself a cup of tea, he seats himself at the table, pressing his hands against the sides of his head. Having these nightmares and hallucinations can leave you with a nasty headache. ]

[Voice]

Is...Is there anyone awake right now? [Please let there someone be awake to talk to, anyone to keep his sanity. He can still faintly hear those voices in the back of his head. A part of him almost wished Terumi was still here, but...they would tell him it's wrong.

"Oh, but I am still here. I'll always be here for you."] ...I just want someone to talk to.

[Someone that's actually there...An idea then pops into his head a few minutes later. Of course he could ask him now. Why didn't he think of him before? Although...he was hesitant about it as it was very late.]

Professor...I'm sorry to bother you at this hour, but I'm having difficulty sleeping...I'm hearing things again.

[Well, at least you're not the only one who's not sleeping in this house. Except Seto never sleeps. Doesn't help that the whole memory thing has been messing him up lately.

But when he hears the noise out in the kitchen (yes he heard those quiet noises), he peeks out of his room and slides across the living room wall, without PF]

Hello?

[Kazuma looks up from his diary, hearing someone in the living room. At least...that is someone in the living room right? And it sounded like...]

Seto...? Is that you?

[Indeed it was from the living room! And with Kazuma now talking, it makes it easier to find his way into the kitchen]

Mm! It's me. I'm sorry, did I scare you?

[He lets out a sigh of relief. This is actually a person.]

No. You didn't. ["I'm just glad it's you."] What are you doing up? [As he ask, he'll stand up to go and see if he can help Seto]

I couldn't sleep. [Like he ever does lol. Sliding over to the kitchen slowly... ]

...Are those memories bothering you? [It's kind of ironic that they're both having issues seeing/hearing things. Remembering that, he's just a little apprehensive about making contact with Seto but...he'll just grip the sleeve of his shirt for the time being.

Should he want another memory trip, he can see Kazu getting attacked by an unknown creature, while he was returning to the dorm in the middle of the night. He sustained some serious injuries from that and left him asleep for 3 days.]

Ah... W-Well.. [To be honest, he had temporarily forgotten about the memories. Well, less forgotten and more that he just didn't want to remember them right now. He pushed them back to the back of his mind so he wouldn't show how much some of the memories he's seen have bothered him.

For a second, his hand brushes against Kazuma's and he sees something but he pulls away quickly. It wasn't enough to see too much of anything but he wanted to wince. His body ached for a moment.]

I-I guess a little...

Ah...sorry. [He'll just...stand there awkwardly.] I'm...I'm making some tea if you like some. It might help a little...

I-It's okay! [Flustering a bit] I think I would like some... i-if you don't mind that is.

Heh well...I did offer, so of course I don't mind. Let's go to the kitchen then. [He'll stay with Seto for the time being, just in case.]

Okay!

[ ...... ]

Where is it, again?

Ah...just follow my voice. [He'll stay within grabbing distance, in case Seto needed help. They'll manage to get to get to the kitchen sooner or later.]

Here, just take a seat and I'll get the tea ready. [He moves a chair at the table for Seto]

Okay! [He follows him over to the kitchen fairly well, using his footsteps and his voice both as a guide. Even the sound of the chair moving across the floor helps!

Once he maneuvers over to it and grabs the back of the chair, he smiles and nods] 'Kay. [Sliding to the side and plopping down in the seat]

All right. This will only take a few minutes. [Once he's sure Seto was settled he'll move over to the stove. Kazuma had left both his journal and diary on the table. Whether Seto sees them or not is up to him.]

Hopefully this won't wake anyone else up.

I'm sure it won't. The others seem like hard sleepers...

[Seto rests his chin in his hand, letting his other hand wander about the table curiously, wondering what all there is. His hand first comes across the journal and though only his finger tips are touching it, he becomes overwhelmed with sadness.

So much to where tears start to form in his eyes. Is this... Kazuma?]

As long as Miss Litchi doesn't wake up...

[He doesn't think she'd approve of them being up so late. He doesn't notice what was going on with Seto, as he was watching the pot at that moment.]

[He doesn't hear what Kazuma says, he's drowned everything in reality out and is focusing on what's happening in his head.

But he really can't make heads or tails of it. Why is Kazuma so sad? What happened?

The big tears start to roll down his cheeks rather quickly so he's forced to let go of the journal to wipe them away out of habit. And maybe cry into his hands a little, even if that overwhelming feeling of sadness is gone, it feels like it's lingering]

[...Not hearing Seto say anything for a while leads him to turn around and notice that something was off with him.]

Seto? [He comes closer and sees that he was...crying?] Seto!? Are you ok?

I-I don't... I don't k-know... [Shaking his head as he says that. And really, he has no idea. He can't stop crying but he's not even that sad anymore.

Instead of explaining it more he just tries to take some deep breathes, using his sleeve to wipe away the tears that won't stop]

What? [Seto's answer confused him. He moves away to locate a tissue box to offer some tissues to him. He was trying not to touch him in case it triggered anything, but seeing Seto like this was really worrying.]

Here...

[He looks up and takes a tissue, using it to blow his nose. The feeling of sadness is slowly starting to fade so he's down to hiccuping and letting the last of the tears stream down his face whenever he blinks]

T-Thank you...

[Kazuma will settle himself in an empty chair beside Seto]

What happened...? Did you see something again?

[It was more like he felt something rather than saw anything but either way it was a memory all the same. So he nods a little]

You were... crying. I don't know why but you were really sad.

[Sad...? When was he ever really-]

...What did you touch? [He glances at the two journals sitting on the table.] Did you touch one of these books?

I think so. I don't know which one though...

[Their shadowy shapes kind of blend in with everything else so he can't tell what all is there.
